Our committee's mission is to identify areas for improvement, find solutions to implement, and ensure their follow-up. Our sustainable development policy reflects our commitment to a cleaner planet and a greener future.
Certification for Sustainable Tourism
We are currently in the process of obtaining GreenStep certification for more sustainable tourism practices that leave as little impact on the environment as possible. Sustainable Culture and Agriculture
At the core of our commitment lies an environmentally respectful agricultural approach. Located in the beautiful landscapes of the Eastern Townships in Quebec, our lavender fields are cultivated sustainably using ecological farming practices. We prioritize organic farming methods and only use natural seaweed-based fertilizers, avoiding the use of pesticides and harmful chemical fertilizers that are detrimental to the planet and its inhabitants. By promoting biodiversity and preserving soils, we contribute to the protection of local ecosystems.
Education and Transparency
We believe that the best way to help people make better choices is to educate them on various subjects. Therefore, we create blog articles and video capsules about concerning ingredients often found in body and household products. We are also completely transparent about our products and their composition.
Responsible Water Management
Water is a precious resource, and we strive to manage it responsibly in all our activities. That's why we have a rainwater basin in our lavender fields in Magog. We use the collected water from this basin to maintain our fields and water our flowers, greatly reducing our consumption of drinking water.
Naturalness and Biodegradability of Our Products
We place great importance on the naturalness and biodegradability of our products. By using natural ingredients and avoiding harmful chemicals, we ensure that our products are safe for the environment while offering real benefits for the skin and senses. Moreover, all our products that come into contact with water and go through a drain are certified biodegradable within 28 days according to OECD 301D standards.
Preservation of Pollinators
Pollinators such as bees and butterflies play a crucial role in plant reproduction and biodiversity maintenance. We are determined to preserve these valuable ecosystem actors by making our fields a conducive environment for their survival. We provide them with nesting boxes, insect hotels, and flowers that provide them with sufficient pollen for nourishment.
